Transition 'Beginner Bible' Presentation

At the start of each year our gorgeous Transition students are presented with their very own copy of ‘The Beginner’s Bible’, marking the start of their Junior School journey with Good Shepherd Lutheran College.

Our Palmerston campus held their presentation at the whole-school assembly on Wednesday 28 February, where College Board members Mrs Helen Taylor and Pastor Noel Due presented 22 little superstars with their Bibles – kindly donated by the Top End Lutheran Parish.

In what was a very exciting day for our Transition students, they were also officially introduced to the rest of the school by their Year 3 Big Buddies. The Year 3s got up on stage and shared some fun facts that they’d learnt about their Buddies over the last four weeks, including their favourite colours, favourite foods, and for one student, their favourite car model (the Toyota Hilux, of course)!

Students from across the school were also presented with House Awards for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the classroom and school community, and the coveted house trophy was this week awarded to the mighty Hughes Hornets!

Thank you to those who attended the assembly, and to the Top End Lutheran Parish, Pastor Noel Due and Mrs Helen Taylor for their contribution. Our Transition students loved having you all there to support them on this very special day.
