Welcome Ms Jo Cochrane

Welcome Jo Cochrane - wonderful to have you on board. We hope your time at Good Shepherd is really special.

"Hi, my name is Jo Cochrane. I am the new Learning Enrichment Coordinator. I am based at the Middle / Senior Campus in Howard Springs but I am looking forward to visiting and working at the Junior campuses too. My first big task is to get to know as many students as possible, particularly those who need extra support throughout the year. If you would like to speak to me about your child, please call or email me.

I have been a teacher for 23 years; the first three years in Queensland and the rest in the NT. I have worked in a variety of roles including primary teacher, distance education/school of the air, middle school teacher, technology coordinator, regional PE/sport coordinator, education advisor and the past nine years as a Special Education Teacher in a large middle school.

The loves of my life are my seven dogs (yes, you read that right!) I have one greyhound and the rest are small breeds. I take three of them to Palmerston Parkrun with me every Saturday morning, so if you see me there say hi and give the doggies a pat. I’m a big reader and have been watching a lot of documentaries over the last few months.

I’m impressed with the positive and supportive culture at the College after just two weeks and am excited to be a member of this community. Starting the year with a chapel service and an amazing message from Paster Noel blew me away and is the absolute best start to a school year I have ever experienced! I’m looking forward to the experience of working in a school that teaches and practices Christian values."
