'Movement'

This print is about how black lives matter and how everyone should be treated as equals. This print also shows social upheaval from the Black Lives Matter protest in 2020 in the US after a black man named George Floyd was shot by police during an arrest.

In this print I used colours that contrasted well together (orange and blue) and that made the print stand out. The artist’s that influenced my decision was Event Project- lino printing, this organisation made artworks that protested Black Lives Matter and I thought that it was really inspiring because all the prints showed their perspective on how black people were treated poorly because of the colour of their skin.
