Christian Studies

With inquiry at the core, Christian Studies is a subject that aims to guide learners to independently and collaboratively examine the Christian faith. Learners are encouraged to explore Biblical texts, perspectives towards Christianity and the historical impact of the Christian faith on the world. Learners will inquire into a variety of faiths and belief systems to broaden their understanding of the world. Within Christian Studies learners are encouraged to develop as reflective and open-minded individuals who come to understand the value of selfless service to the local, national and global community.

Alongside the inquiry into the Christian faith, a significant aspect that learners within Christian Studies will address is the concepts of identity and service. Learners will be given opportunities to explore and begin to define their own unique identity and their relationship with others. Learners will also engage in multiple service learning experiences and be empowered to develop a serving heart that begins to frame a life committed to serving others.
